Our behavioral health services

To meet the unique needs of each of our patients, we offer a range of behavioral health services, treatments and programs, including:

Mental health assessments

We provide evaluations on-site through our 24-hour hospital crisis team in our emergency room (ER). You may also be referred to us through your own mental health professional or facility.

Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT)

We make sure our patients have access to all the treatment options they need to cope with their behavioral health symptoms and conditions. As part of that, we offer ECT for many conditions that may have been otherwise untreatable, such as depression and dementia.

For more information about our ECT program, please call us at (801) 299-2290.

Inpatient behavioral health care

Our adult behavioral health unit offers a short-term, comprehensive inpatient psychiatric program. This mental health clinic is designed exclusively to meet the psychological and physical healthcare needs of adults ages 18 years old and older. It focuses on wellness while ensuring comfort and safety.

Outpatient behavioral health care

Our intensive outpatient program (IOP) is for patients who need structured care but do not need an inpatient hospital stay. It includes group therapy that brings together clients who are struggling with the challenges of addiction and mood disorders. It is a safe and supportive setting in which they can discuss experiences, learn problem-solving skills and challenge dysfunctional behavior. They will also develop strategies which encourage positive growth and enhance general well-being.

For more information about our Intensive Outpatient Program, please call us at (801) 296-3421.

Outpatient therapy services

The group structure is in several components, including:

  • Psycho-education, which incorporates cognitive behavioral and dialectical behavioral techniques, involves chemical dependency step work as well as a strong emphasis using social media and movie clips to illustrate ideas.
  • Process-oriented portions of group therapy allow patients to tell their story, connect ideas from one another and participate in a positive support setting.
  • Experiential activities of group therapy engage clients in therapeutic recreation, hobby development, community service, music therapy, relaxation and other multi-modal learning experiences.
