Pharmacy residency program

Our pharmacy residency program in the Wasatch Front develops future pharmacy clinicians. We offer a rigorous curriculum and a challenging clinical experience as well as preparation for second-year pharmacy residencies.

We are committed to fully developing pharmacy clinicians who are leaders and experts in their fields with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care. We develop your confidence, pharmaceutical knowledge and clinical experience as a practicing pharmacist leader.

Curriculum

In our residency program, our skilled pharmacy practitioners build on the knowledge gained in your Doctor of Pharmacy program. During our challenging courses of study, you learn self-directed learning skills, develop leadership skills, prepare for pharmacy board certification and complete eligibility for advanced postgraduate pharmacy study.

Clinical experience

In our pharmacy residencies, you'll receive exposure to a range of areas that develop your knowledge of patient medication management. We prepare you to operate in a hospital-based setting as well as a variety of pharmacy practices.

Our residents are also trained to teach by completing a teaching certificate and acting as preceptors to pharmacy students at the University of Utah College of Pharmacy and Roseman University College of Pharmacy.

Salary and benefits

Our residents receive a competitive salary. Your benefits package includes medical, dental and life insurance, sick leave, vacation, 401K programs and reimbursements for approved conferences and travel.
